52 Rehoboth married two weeks before becoming a seaman in the navy in the First World War. His service record is available at The National Archives and it describes him as being 5ft 7 in tall, 34in chest, with dark hair, grey eyes and a dark complexion. It seems he served on Pembroke 1 and was of very good character and satisfactory ability.
