Hi Maurice,
I attach Georgiana's birth certificate and, although Caroline's maiden name is wrong it is at her mother's address in Sheffield. John & Mary Dennell having moved from Halton to Sheffield sometime between 1843 and 1851.
Georgiana was brought up by Caroline's elder sister, Sarah Ann Cawood (nee Dennell) and her husband Joseph who appear to have no natural children. I believe this was because of the shame felt by Caroline who did indeed re-marry, and have children with, a Jacob Madin of Sheffield.
Georgiana continued to live with Sarah Ann and Joseph until she married.
Richard Peacock by the way is the founder of Beyer Peaock, Engine Manufacturers, of Gorton Manchester, and I was told that Caroline's younger brother George Dennell worked there, he did live in the correct area and was employed on the railways.
