- Here lieth interred the body of Joseph Hemingway of Haigh, yeoman, who departed this life the 31st day of December 1753, and in the 73rd year of his age. Also Elizabeth, his daughter, who departed this life the 13th day of June 1713, and in the 5th year of her age. Also Nicholas, his son, who departed this life the 12th day of January 1726, and in the 3rd year of his age. Also Mary, his daughter, the wife of John Unwin of Birthwaite, who departed this life the 2nd day of April 1749, and in the 31st year of her age. Also Rebecca, the wife of Joseph Hemingway, who departed this life ye 5th day of February 1757, and in the 76th year of her age. Undeeneath this stone lieth the body of Elizabeth Hemingway, daughter of John and Jane Hemingway. She died October the 31st 1810, aged 48 years.
