      Borough Court Monday
      Alleged theft from Person - Margaret Brown who stands with a hot potato cart in the Borough market was charged with having stolen 1.17s from the person of Mr Joseph Hemingway, miner, living at Stanley Lane Ends, Lofthouse Gate.
      The prosecutor said that on 9th instant he met the prisoner near the parish church and went into the New Inn with her, the lead to some drinking for something to do, after which they went to the Dolphin Inn, and after staying one hour he missed his purse.
      The police were called and the prisoner searched but only 8d was found on her.
      Case dismissed
